Resident Evil Script

With this script, I started by choosing a very specific scene within Resident Evil 8. This is the secen that I then used and edited:

Once I knew this was the scene I wanted to adapt, I started thinking about how I wanted it to be. I knew that I wanted it to be an alternative scene and ended up looking on the Resident Evil Wiki for Heisenberg's character as well as another wiki for the documents in-game that talk about his backstory and THEN, I looked at the segment of the script in this scene by going onto Game-Scripts Wiki so I could start off the scene like it usually does, before deviating to the story that I was trying to tell.

Below is the finished script that I did in an hour (might've been slightly longer):

Making this script was fun. I haven't tried writing in a script format since my College days, so I was a bit nervous going in. Overall, I did feel a little confident as I like writing scenarios between pre-existing characters as I write fanfiction so being able to explore two characters I haven't written about before was interesting as I looked to wikis and the cuteness to try and get 'a feel' for them. It was a little hard, as while I love this series, I have to have more of an 'obsession' with them (with Detroit: Become Human, I have a big obsession with the character Connor and his relationship with Hank Anderson and because I love the characters to such a degree it was easier for me to write for them), so I did sometimes find it hard to put myself 'in their shoes'. I don't think it's my strongest piece, but I some fun trying to re-imagine a  scenario in a light that could've massively changed how the game ended!

I was also a bit nervous about how this looked as I didn't have anyone to talk to about it. With my other piece, I was able to talk to friends who played the game, so they could say if the text sounded like the characters, but in this case, I didn't have that. So next-time, I might choose another game that I could get opinions from friends/ people who play it.

A final thing I would also like to brush up on script writing, as I know I forgot to go into more detail on the camera angles, but I did make sure to at least use the right font and layout. But all in all- I don't think it was a terrible attempt.
